I had picked up a 2nd job and my schedule was pretty whacky for the last 3 months. Recently I’ve come to the decision to not let my day jobs take over my life and dreams. So I rearranged my availability between the two places and now will have at least two days off a week and enough hours during the days I am scheduled to run errands/work on art. I’m pretty excited! I also got a new camera and computer so now it’ll be easier for me to be on-line & upload work. I went through the calendar and picked out all the words that I have missed. I’ve debated on whether or not to post them….How about just a few to tease you? I already gave you corpse and night and I am reminded that I need to do bewitching. So how about we finish off July since I gave you the first of that month? Three more pieces you can look forward to seeing are “Sad”, “Unbelievable”, and “Love”. Such a wide range of inspiration floating around here. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m excited to get back into this game!
This is a collaborative art blog published by myself and my life long best friend. We have always discussed doing projects together (comic books, fashion design, etc) but distance and separate grown-up lives have kept us from accomplishing our goals. Each week I gather my magnet poetry kits and pull a word from my "hat", and that word inspires our weekly art submission to this blog.

"Grow"--C.Kimmel
Acrylic on 16" x 8" canvas. Sorry for a)the afternoon posting--this was a troublesome piece & b)the uneven scan. I had to scan it in two pieces and I did try my best to make it even. Not too bad for someone who is technologically inept.
This piece reminds me of a Mandrake Root :)

They've Been Dead Awhile (Mold)
8”x10” acrylic on canvas. Is the title referring to the subject of the painting or the people who could have placed the setting?

"Life" C.Kimmel
"The true colour of life is the colour of the body, the colour of the covered red, the implicit and not explicit red of the living heart and the pulses. It is the modest colour of the unpublished blood." Alice Meynell

It Begins
My best friend and I have always wanted to artistically collaborate. There have been ideas for comics and even clothing lines. However these concepts were stolen by our other dimension selves never to come into fruition here. We finally hatched a plan that was so horrible and unoriginal no dimensional self would come near it. Every Monday we will each post a piece of art work (in any form/medium) that is based off the same concept. This week the chosen theme is LARVAE.
